The Del Vecchios

The Del Vecchio Clinic is a family owned and operated acupuncture clinic with a specialization in allergy treatment utilizing Advanced Allergy Therapeutics. Sam Del Vecchio received a B.A. in Philsophy and Religion at James Madison University and initially became interested in alternative healing while studying Thai Massage and yoga in Thailand and India. He attended the Daoist Traditions College of Medical Arts and has been a licensed practicing acupuncturist since 2008, during which he has successfully treated patients with conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, insomnia, cancer, and the common cold.

Lucia Del Vecchio, Sam’s sister, had struggled with food allergies since childhood, and her diet became extremely limited to the point where eating was a daily challenge. She discovered Advanced Allergy Therapy through an online forum for people who are allergic to corn, and received her first treatment in the winter of 2008. The incredible results from AAT sparked Sam’s interest in the new modality, and after extensive research and discussion with Lucia about expanding his practice to include this new treatment, Sam was trained and licensed in AAT. Since receiving a few follow-up treatments with AAT, Lucia’s food allergies have diminished to the point where she can now eat freely and without symptoms.

Lucia and Sam are thrilled to open this new clinic and bring acupuncture and AAT to the Asheville community. Lucia brings years of office management experience to the clinic, and Sam is well known for his kind, sensitive demeanor as a practitioner of acupuncture. The mission of The Del Vecchio Clinic is to provide comprehensive acupuncture and allergy treatment for a wide variety of symptoms and conditions in a supportive and gentle environment, and enable the patient to take control over their mental, emotional, and physical health.
